Welcome to the weird, wonderful and provocative sound of 'Coldfeet'.
Coldfeet began in 1996 when Oregan born composer/vocalist Lori, the daughter of an American clinical psychologist father and Japanese 'koto' player mother, was introduced by a mutual friend to Watusi, a member of Tokyo's legendary drum and bass band Mushroom Head and a veteran (as a producer and musician) of over 100 CD's in Japan.
Finding similar interest in quirky, exotic music in films by David Lynch and Sam Raimi, Watsumi and Lori grouped together to create the uniquely erotic, sensual fantasy world of COLDFEET.
With two albums already released on Sony Music Japan their profile seems to be rising in Europe and the US with releases on Germany's Compost label and New York's King Street plus numerous appearences on MTV Japan and Europe. Their exotic sound and chameleonic appearence has pushed them into the spotlight of the fashion world with performances at John Galliano / Christian Dior and Prada events in Tokyo, New York and Paris.
With an all-star cast of remixes from the almighty Francois K reveals his studio pedigree with a twisted-up New York dub with multiple layers of rhythms, uplifting keys and effects.
Germany's favourite son Rainer Truby gives 'Pussyfoot' a jazz dance shake up, alongside those masters of the the 90's Loft Classic 'High Priestess' Karma give a moody bossa feel to 'In My Lucid Dream'. The UK's Smith & Mighty twidle the knobs on 'Spooned' for a cinematic blissed-out song full of eastern promise.
Disorient move further into their Japanese roots as this is the first single in the follow-up album to 1999's hugely successful album 'Showa 64', also out on Disorient.
12" & CD single contain same tracks. SUSHI24/CD24.
