Leo was sucked into the world of DJ -ing at the early age of 13 though the sounds of Hip Hop (Sugar Hill Gang, Africa Bambata..). Later, exposed to the early sounds of house and afrobeat, Leo was soon playing his unique blend of music to the 5000 capacity Crocodile club in Italy with long term friend Claudio Coccoluto. Since then he has DJ-ed in ridiculous amount of clubs worldwide always creating havoc with massive slices of funk and bizzare musical concoctions.

The cosmic maestro that is Leo also has a mightily impressive history of recordings behind him with such labels as Spectrum (working with Raj the engineer behind much of the Idjuts output), Yo Mama, Stronghouse, Pronto (his own underground imprint) and KTM who released Leo's album, Cosmic Land. Heaped with praise by the press, it sadly never really saw a structured release in the UK and slipped though without receiving the props it deserved.

This double pack plans to put to right Leo's lack of recognition in this country. With a huge following throughout Europe it is time that Leo received the respect due. Seven tracks of filtered funk, heavy percussive breaks, a touch of vibraphonic action and a soundtrack to end with. The Italian heavyweight, Claudio Coccoluto also weighs in with an epic 10 minute mix that provides the last piece of the jigsaw. This should mark Leo Young fairly and squarely on the musical map.
