Miyazawa is one of Japans most eclectic composer / singers and has gone through many changes sice the late 80's from ska, rock and Okinawan folk music.
Miyazawa has picked up influences from wherever his travels have taken him. Last year he released a Brazilian solo lp which was produced by Hugh Pagham, who produced much of the Police's early works.
With remixers from both Japan and Europe giving the tracks immediate club credibility, Tokyo's Little Big Bee (aka Takamiya) gives us a funky house approach, a style which has created much interest here in the UK.
As One (Kirk Degorgio) and Rainer Truby add the teutonic fusion flavor to Miyazawa's sophistication. Simple but percussive, and exremely cool. Both Rainer and Kirk havn't let the side down.
This is the first single from the 'Showa 64' compilation album which will be the first ever homage to Japanese music over the last twenty years also on Disorient.
