Munenori Takada is a mouthful, but so is Peter Illiach Tchiakovsy. Both unprouncable, both extremely talented in their own right. Takada has many areas of experise - artist, DJ, club promoter and all round technical wizzkid ......
Originally inspired by the ground breaking film Wild Style he embarked on DJ-ing frenzy culminating in victory in his home town at the Tokyo Hip Hop competition and bumping into MC E.C.D. These two quickly established themselves as the DJ's to catch at legendary parties such as Azabu Tools Bar and Tsubaki House as well as then emerging clubs such as Yellow and Gold spinning a mixture of Hip Hop, House, Jazz and mad beatz.
Ola-le is Takada's first release outside of Japan and the Disorient's second providing all with some essential summer listening. Deep driving house grooves are intwinned with New York latino-style piano licks and covered with layers of deceptively light samba influenced percussion. With that man Ashley Beedle ably assisting him on the mix this is just a taster of what will be coming from Takada in the future.
