Wahaca is bringing Mexico’s vibrant Day of the Dead celebrations to London, for a four-day festival of music, food, art and film hosted at The Old Vic Tunnels, staring tomorrow and running until Saturday.
Performing each night, on the first leg of their European tour will be Rodrigo y Gabriela
The tunnels will be transformed, with Wahaca’s very own temporary street kitchen and Mezcalaria bar, where bartenders will be serving cocktails made from award-winning Tequila, Olmeca Altos, along with an exhibition of work by highly acclaimed Mexican photographerGraciela Iturbide, work by the eminent Mexican artist Dr Lakra and newly commissioned installations of visual arts by the London basedLe Gun collective, British artist Hew Locke and Nancy Fouts.
There will also be daily screenings of Jodorowsky's Santa Sangre, recently released on Mr Bongo.
