Doris

Born in Gothenburg in 1947, Doris Svensson performed with several bands throughout the '60s, making her debut with The Strangers in 1960.  She went on to perform with The Plums and The Dandys.

Doris cut her first and only album Did You Give the World Some Love Today Baby for EMI/Odeon in 1970 with several noted local musicians; jazz pianist, organist, composer, and producer Berndt Egerbladh, who also wrote most of the songs; drummer and film actor Janne "Loffe" Carlsson of the instrumental jazz-rock duo Hansson & Karlsson; and her husband, bassist Lucas Lindholm. The album did not sell particularly well at the time, thus was forgotten and deleted, but is now considered to be a cult classic and the original is a coveted collector's item.
