Brazilian born Dom Um Romão is considered to be one of the greatest percussionists to have ever lived.
Mas Que Nada in 1962. His years were spent collaborating with such legendary figures as Frank Sinatra, Astrud Gilberto, Jorge Ben, and Airto. He is however better known as one of the founding members of the jazz-rock supergroup Weather Report.
Romão released the solo album Rhythm Traveller on Mr Bongo in 1998 – recorded in Rio de Janeiro it features Nelson Angelo, one of Brazil's greatest ever composers, known for his work with Joyce, Milton Nascimento and Xhiomara, one of Brazil's greatest bossa singers.
