Gearbox start off 2019 big!!!! 'Fyah' is the debut solo album from the mighty Theon Cross, the tubist who is one of the backbones of the current UK jazz scene. Featuring Moses Boyd, Nubya Garcia, Wayne Francis (Ahnansé), Artie Zaitz, Tim Doyle and Nathaniel Cross in the band. The album includes a heavy afro beat number 'Candace of Meroe' which I'm sure we are going to be hearing a lot this year. Well recommended!
