The team here at Mr Bongo are dedicated to unearthing rare vinyl treasures and we've been lucky enough to get our hands on some incredible deadstock releases.
Deadstock is the term given to items that didn't initially sell, usually due to a lack of distribution channels. These records have often been sat in warehouses, old record shops, or artists houses before being discovered by the right audience. Due to this time spent untouched, the records often remain in great condition.
Whilst reissued records remain a brilliant way to discover replicas of rare, hard-to-find records, deadstock lets you own a finite version of a release or repress, often at an affordable price.
Over time, we've been lucky enough to come across many deadstock masterpieces such as Galt MacDermot's 'Shapes of Rhythm', Horace Tapscott's 'The Call', and John Clarke's 'Rootsy Reggae', all available now.
