Our staff pick this week comes from DJ and WOLF Music label owner, Matt Neale, who also spends a lot of his time at Mr Bongo. He's chosen the 70's jazz-fusion dancer 'Reason To Survive / Peace Of Mind', which is available here.

I first heard these two songs during a deep dive into the Mizell Brothers catalogue 10 or so years ago. ‘Peace of Mind’ became a firm favourite instantly, and ‘Reasons’ also hit home. Great players, great vocals, and the Mizells are untouchable at the peak of their powers here. ‘Peace of Mind’ is a go-to record for an uplifter and having it on a 7" is a big win for me. Cheers to Expansion for making these expensive 7”s accessible and making them sound so good, and to Greymatter for putting me onto the track.
