Erasmo Carlos gained fame starring alongside the legendary singer Roberto Carlos (no relation) as co-hosts of a music TV show called “Jovem Guarda” (or "young guard”).
Although not as well known as the likes of Jorge Ben, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Milton Nascimento, Tom Zé and co., Carlos music is up there with them, in our opinion. His three early 1970’s albums are classics, showcasing his brilliant voice, songwriting and playing, fusing rock, funk, soul, samba and MPB in his own unique style.
