A superb Ethio-Jazz inspired album, including cover versions of classic tracks by artists such as Mulatu Astatke and Hailu Mergia & the Walias Ban. The Fairfield Ethio-Jazz Project album is part of celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of HIM Emperor Haile Selassie being awarded the Freedom of the City of Bath. HIM Emperor Haile Selassie lived in exile between 1936-1941 staying in Fairfield House, Bath, when Mussolini invaded Ethiopia.
